Udruga Zaželi – Wish association is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the rights and empowerment of vulnerable groups for active participation in society. It focusses on inclusion, advocacy, and protection of rights, with a particular emphasis on vulnerable individuals, including young people and children with developmental difficulties.

The organization was founded by experienced professionals in social care and the non-profit sector, and they actively contribute to the development of civil society and local communities.

Currently involved in various projects, the organization works towards improving the position of people with disabilities of all age groups, with a significant focus on young people. Their projects aim to strengthen youth and children with disabilities for proactive action and increase their civic participation. They also target young people in NEET-Not in Education, Employment, or Training, status.

In regular youth work activities, the Wish Association actively engages young people with disabilities, families, and children with developmental difficulties. Through individual and group support, their efforts focus on community integration and strengthening volunteer engagement. It includes young people in all their projects and work towards the integration of people with disabilities into the broader community.

The association’s roots trace back to 2001 when it was formed by a group of young individuals. Over time, it evolved into an organization with approximately 100 active members, specialized sub-units, and expertise in various business sectors by 2004. They gained international experience through youth camps and collaborations with similar associations and organizations.

Recognizing the need for legal status, they obtained registration as the Active Youth Association in 2008, allowing them to operate as a non-governmental organization. Between 2016 and 2021, the association focused on activities such as conscious profession/job choice, vocational education, and human rights awareness for local students. They provided guidance on vocational high schools and universities, conducted career development and entrepreneurship training, and organized seminars and workshops on human rights, discrimination prevention, and violence.

Moving forward, the association aims to further develop existing activities and undertake projects that cater to disadvantaged young people in local initiatives. They intend to explore communication technologies, establish handcraft workshops, and actively participate in various European networks. The association’s diverse interests encompass education, entrepreneurship education, vocational training, intercultural education, youth policies, EU awareness, democracy, human rights, gender equality, disadvantaged youth, disabilities, integration of refugees, Roma, and other minorities, as well as communication and social dialogue.

Udruzenje Svetlost, established in 2001, is a youth-focused organization that aims to empower young people, including those with fewer opportunities, and promote positive values within the local community.

Their team consists of professionals with expertise in youth work, education, multimedia, art, and culture. Through training, workshops, conferences, and public events, Svetlost fosters the development of professional, social, and creative skills among young individuals. They emphasize important themes such as employability, voluntarism, gender equality, non-violence, diversity, human rights, sustainable development, and active citizenship.

NGO Svetlost actively engages with local schools, particularly those in disadvantaged areas, to implement workshops that utilize art and culture as tools for promoting non-formal and informal education methodologies, teamwork, sustainable development, healthy lifestyles, and human rights.

They prioritize inclusion and social rights, focusing on supporting students facing fewer opportunities, such as Roma youth, those living in poverty, and rural youth. With a rich project portfolio, NGO Svetlost has implemented numerous initiatives under EACEA programs, including Youth, Youth in Action, and Erasmus+. They have also participated as partners in various projects and received support from organizations such as USAID, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Serbia, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, and the City of Šabac.

Furthermore, Svetlost has accreditation for hosting and sending volunteers under the ESC program (formerly EVS program) and is an accredited organization in the Erasmus+ program since 2023. Their commitment to raising social awareness, promoting positive values, and empowering young people drives their work and contributes to building a responsible and creative community.

PILCROW is a non-governmental youth organization based in Valencia, Spain, dedicated to empowering young people through intercultural learning experiences and international volunteer programs. 

Their mission is to promote personal and social development, understanding, tolerance, and peace among individuals worldwide. They prioritize raising awareness of global issues, integrating disadvantaged and disabled individuals, and advocating for human rights and gender equality.

Comprised of a board of three members and supported by a passionate group of around 15 volunteers, PILCROW values diversity and international experiences. Their volunteers play a crucial role in empowering young people and driving the organization’s efforts. Guided by their mission and manifesto, PILCROW aims to provide challenging intercultural learning experiences, foster intercultural understanding, promote equality, and encourage participants to take action and develop their skills.

 

Since their establishment in 2020, PILCROW has been actively working to create a positive impact within their community and beyond. They remain committed to their mission of empowering young people and promoting a more just and equitable world for all.

Okret / Spin is an NGO that was initially established as an informal group in 2016 and officially registered as an organization in 2018. Their main objective is to contribute to the development of society by promoting positive values, healthy lifestyles, and equal opportunities for all young people, particularly those who are not in the educational system.

The organization focuses on providing educational opportunities through a combination of sports and learning activities. They actively engage young people in local communities, offering educational trainings, exchanges, sport tournaments, and international initiatives. With a team of three dedicated members and the support of two international volunteers, Okret / Spin organizes leisure activities for young people, such as language courses, cultural nights, and quizzes.

Their experienced staff has been involved in non-formal education for the past five years, participating in programs like Erasmus+ and Youth in Action. Previous projects and local activities have centered around promoting healthy lifestyles, preventing violence, addressing substance abuse, and raising awareness about mental health. Okret / Spin also strives to reach out to youth from remote areas and those who are out of the traditional school system, providing them with educational training and support.

In recent years, Okret / Spin has expanded its international cooperation and has utilized the knowledge and skills of their staff to elevate their activities to a higher international level. They have been involved in empowering youth in decision-making processes and fostering entrepreneurship through educational campaigns.

Europalmente, a cultural association based in Sicily, Italy, was founded in 2015 with a mission to provide mobility opportunities and promote the improvement of young people’s educational and professional skills. 

The association actively engages in initiatives that enhance active European citizenship, intercultural communication, and social integration. Europalmente organizes international projects, cultural trips, training courses, charity events, exhibitions, and sports competitions. 

They collaborate with public and private institutions on social issues and participate in seminars both in Italy and abroad. The association also publishes materials on social matters and strives to defend human rights and raise awareness about climate change.

A key focus of Europalmente is to support individuals with disabilities, minorities, refugees, and those facing social, economic, or geographical disadvantages. They prioritize the empowerment of young people aged 18 to 30 living in the risk areas of Sicily. Additionally, Europalmente promotes the safe usage of the internet and supports the adoption of new technologies.

With around 150 active supporters, Europalmente is dedicated to organizing seminars, workshops, and meetings with local authorities. They are currently working on implementing international projects in the fields of education and climate-related issues, furthering their commitment to creating a positive impact in society.

Tinerii 3D,” a non-profit and non-governmental youth organization based in Craiova, Romania, was officially registered as an NGO in January 2013. The organization’s primary objective is to cultivate a community of young individuals who actively contribute to the betterment of society and promote universal human values and European Union standards.

The purpose of Tinerii 3D is to assist young people in their personal development through non-formal and informal learning in three key dimensions: education of the mind, culture for the soul, and sports for the body. The organization has outlined several objectives, which include advocating for the rights of young people in the community, facilitating social integration and support for disadvantaged youth, promoting a healthy lifestyle among young individuals, encouraging volunteerism, fostering creativity, promoting gender equality and combating racial prejudices, upholding the principles of the European Union, and organizing sports events and activities.

The target group of Tinerii 3D comprises young people aged between 16 and 35 from the Oltenia region, encompassing those who wish to actively engage in community initiatives, contribute to its improvement, and acquire new tools and skills. The organization also aims to include young individuals facing fewer opportunities within its target group, providing them with support and opportunities for growth.
